Reichhold relocates Norwegian technological center

15-Oct-08
Reichhold, world's largest manufacturer of unsaturated polyester resins and a leading supplier of coating resins, has shifted its technology centre for Europe, Middle East and India (EMEA) from Sandefjord, Norway to new premises on the outskirts of Sandefjord. The new facilities include a new, modern and highly specialized laboratory as well as other functions that had previously been scattered around Sandefjord. The laboratory is dedicated to R&D of resin systems for the composites industry and has specialized analytical and testing equipment that allows the simulation of full-scale composites manufacturing processes. The new modern technological center shows for the company's commitment to be a leading supplier for EMEA's composites industry. The technology centre in Norway works in close cooperation with two other Reichhold technology centres in North Carolina (USA) and Sao Paulo (Brazil). Research and development of new and improved resin systems typically involve end products for wind energy, marine, transportation, and building and construction. Reichhold also houses a production plant in Fredrikstad, Norway.
