Styrene exports from Russia in July were 96.6% lower than in the same month last year, latest data from Rossstat, the Russian Customs Agency shows, as reported by Platts.
Styrene exports were just 279 mt in July, compared to 8,236 mt in July 2015 and 17,859 mt in June 2016. But in the first seven months of the year, Russian styrene exports were 75,874 mt, down just 1.6% from 77,146 mt in the same 2015 period.
Russian imports of styrene feedstock benzene totalled 539 mt in July and 6,926 mt in the first seven months of the year, up sharply from 1,083 mt in Jan-July 2015.
Toluene exports from Russia were 1,615 mt in July, up from 384 mt a year earlier. In the first seven months of the year, Russia exported 7,124 mt of toluene, up from the 2,173 mt in the same 2015 period.
