With effect from Jan 1, 2008, Saudi Basic Industries Corp (Sabic), will raise polyethylene prices in Europe for by €100 per metric ton. The price hike will affect all of its high-density polyethylene, low-density polyethylene and linear low-density polyethylene products.
This price hike has been announced in a bid to pass on feedstock increases to the downstream sector further down the value chain.
