Japan Polypropylene Corp. is reported to have delayed the start-up of its new 300,000 tpa polypropylene (PP) plant at Kashima. The Japanese major currently operates 12 PP plants with a combined capacity of 1.08 tpa, at a reduced capacity of 55%. The new plant was to start up the new plant this month. The start up will be deferred by 6 months to September 2009.
