Japanese producer Taiyo Oil has tentative plans to take off line its Shikoku-based aromatics unit for a 2-3 week scheduled maintenance around June-July 2012, as per ICIS. The facility, which includes a reformer and hydrodealkylation (HDA) unit, can produce 450,000 tpa benzene and 400,000 tpa isomer-grade xylene (IX). The company is expected to confirm plans for this scheduled shutdown in February 2012.
