French engineering contractor Technip has been awarded two lump sum turnkey contracts for a new refinery to be built by Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (Satorp). SATORP is a 62.5:27.5 joint venture between Saudi Aramco and France’s Total. The project is to be completed by Q2-2013. It is located at Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia will have capacity to produce 700,000 tpa paraxylene, 140,000 tpa benzene and 200,000 tpa polymer-grade propylene.
