Subjected to an agreement signed on Thursday Titan Petchem Sdn Bhd is to supply 50,000 tons of butadiene annually for five years to South Korea's Korea Kumho Petrochemical Co Ltd, if it is able to complete its new butadiene plant in 2007.
Titan Petchem Sdn Bhd, formerly known as Titan PP Polymers (M) Sdn Bhd) is a subsidiary of Titan Chemicals Corp Bhd. This order won by it is valued to be worth US$144.951 million and includes a plus or minus 5 per cent variation of the amount subject to the mutual agreement of both parties.
