Titan plans to capture a 50% market share of Indonesian polyethylene (PE) by end 2008

An increased production capacity and healthy demand growth for polyethylene (PE), will help Titan Chemical Corporation Bhd (Titan) to more than double its market share of Indonesian polyethylene (PE) to 50% by the end of next year amounting to half a million tons from the current levels of 22%. As an initial step, PE production will be expanded to 300,000 tpa this year, a significant increase from the 100,000 tons last year. Production of butadiene and propylene would be increased to 480,000 tpa late next year from current levels of 380,000 tons.
