Total has inaugurated a new polypropylene (PP) production line at the facility in Daewan in South Korea, increasing the PP production capacity at Daewan by 300,000 tpa to 554,000 tpa. The plant is operated as a 50:50 joint venture with Samsung.
Ethylene production capacity of the Daewan naphtha cracker in had recently been expanded from 600,000 tpa to 820,000 tpa and the styrene production capacity has been increased from 600,000 tpa to 850,000 tpa. The additional capacities will expand Total's presence in Asia, particularly in China.
