TPPI is seeking to import about 1 mln barrels a month of condensate starting in June, as per Bloomberg News.The company is seeking sweet condensates (have a lower sulfur content than sour grades) of all origins. The company operates a 100,000 bpd unit at its Tuban plant in east Java that helps convert condensate into fuels such as naphtha used as feedstock in polymer production. Discussions are underway with Singapore players TPPI has a six-month agreement to take all its condensate requirement from PT Pertamina in exchange for supplying its output to the government-owned Indonesian company. Discussion is also underway to buy 1 mln barrels a month from Pertamina when the existing deal between the companies ends in May.
