German contractor Uhde has been awarded a contract to engineer China´s biggest single-line polypropylene plant, to be operated by Tianjin Petrochemical, a subsidiary of the China Petroleum Chemical Corporation Sinopec at Tianjin. The plant is to use "Spherizone" technology of Basell. The plant will have a capacity of 450,000 tpa and is scheduled to come on stream in 2009.
