Berry Plastics Corporation, US-based leading manufacturer of plastic packaging, has decided to expand its thermoforming operations by ramping up manufacturing capacity by first quarter 2010. This decision, the company added, is driven support customers' growing desire for plastic thermoformed products. The company specifically pointed out in a release that it will dedicate portion of new expansion for manufacturing drink cups. The company, which has 66 manufacturing sites worldwide, is evaluating multiple project sites to determine the final location for the expansion. Indiana-based packing company has announced to invest nearly US$80 mln in the first three years and create more than 150 new jobs related to this decision.
