18 contract labourers attached to the Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. (HPL) observed a cease-work after the agency that recruited them, allegedly failed to clear their dues. The workers are backed by Citu and belong to the Citu-affiliated HPL Employees' Union. They were mainly involved with loading and unloading work at HPL's polypropylene unit. Production was not hampered owing to the stir.
