YNCC to raise run rates to an average of 80% at three naphtha crackers

Yeochun Naphtha Cracking Center plans to restart its smallest cracker - a 400,000 tpa cracker that has been shut since November 19. Since the shutdown of this unit, South Korea's YNCC had been maintaining average run rates at its three crackers in Yeochun, including a 857,000 tpa and a 555,000 tpa unit at 75%. Now with the start up of its shuttered unit, the company plans to keep run rates at an average of about 80%. For this, it will have to bring down run rates at the 857,000 tpa ethylene cracker from the current 100% and 555,000 tpa unit from the current 91%.
