The Techno-Polymer exhibition to focus on promoting sustainability and circular economy. 

Pune, 30 November 2024: A special event to promote ‘Plasto 2025’, the techno-polymer exhibition by the Association for the Promotion of Plastics (APP) to be held  from 8 to 11 January 2025 at Pune International Exhibition & convention Centre, Moshi was organised with a launch function at the Grand Sheraton Hotel.

Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation, Mr. Muralidhar Mohol was present as the chief guest., Mr. Ghanshyam Deshpande President Technological excellence of Praj Industries Ltd, Mr. Ashwin Shastri, Chief Transformation Officer Tata Autocomp Systems Ltd,  Dr. Ashish Lele, Director, CSIR-NCL graced the occasion as Guests of Honour.  Mr. Anil Naik, President APP, Mr. Ajay Zod, Chairman Plasto 2025, Mr. Arun Kumbhojkar, one of founder member APP,   Mr. Pravin Tarde and Mr. Ramesh Pardeshi and APP office bearers and members were present at this event. Mr. Anand Kumbhojkar gave the welcome address. Over 400 delegates of plastic fraternity and other companies attended the event. 

Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation, Mr. Muralidhar Mohol said, the industry has played a major role in putting our city on global map and Plastic industry has a role in economic growth of the city. Citing the example for need of space for an exhibition centre in the city, he assured that he would take up any issues faced by the Industry and try to solve them. He said he was delighted to see the overwhelming response to the function and promised to visit the exhibition in month of January. 

Mr. Ghanshyam Deshpande, President Technological excellence at Praj Industries said that the question frequently asked is whether plastic is a curse or a blessing But plastic is not curse but a blessing. We have the talent and knowledge that we can come with innovative solutions which is fundamental in today's world .

Chief Transformation Officer of Tata Autocomp Systems Ltd. Mr. Ashwin Shastri said that the call of time is to change our mindset to scale up from small and medium to large. Small scale industry needs to invest in the future and scale up. We have to think big and high quality. 

Director of CSIR-NCL Dr. Ashish Lele said that Pune is a phenomenal place to have exhibition as it has a confluence of various sectors. He added that Sustainability and circular economy are key mega trends not just for the world, India but also cities like Pune. As a city which is centre of innovation, technology, education and industry we must embrace these new trends . I am very happy that an Innovators Pavilion is being planned at ‘Plasto 2025’ . 

Actors Pravin Tarde and Ramesh Pardeshi also spoke on the occasion and gave their experiences when they visited chinaplas with APP team and expressed that all entrepreneurs present should also plan to go for bigger scale. 

Giving information about Plasto 2025, APP President Anil Naik said this is the 8th Plasto Exhibition and has been growing multifold every year . The main aim of APP is to ensure growth of plastic industry. 
Ajay Zod, Chairman of Plasto 2025 said,  this is a one stop exhibition for manufacturers and suppliers and all stakeholders. Our vision is to support sustainable development and circular economy. 
 
The 8th Plasto 2025 exhibition has received tremendous response. The number of member companies has also increased  which shows the commitment of APP  towards the progress and welfare of this sector. APP’s flagship event, Plasto Exhibition, will be held on a grander and larger scale from 8th to 11th January 2025 at the Moshi International Exhibition Centre. Spread over 1 lakh fifty thousand  sq ft, the exhibition is receiving a good response and 85 per cent bookings have already been made.

Plasto has been a trusted platform since 1989 to introduce new products and showcase industry excellence. Organized by the Association for the Promotion of Plastics (APP), a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of the plastics industry and MSMEs in Pune, Plasto 2025 provides a unique exhibition opportunity to key industry leaders and stakeholders. The Association for the Promotion of Plastics (APP) was established in Pune in 1981.
