With effect from July 1, 2008, Bayer MaterialScience has announced a price increase of US$0.l5-0.30/kg on TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) resins. The increase will affect all TPU brands in the Asia Pacific region, including Utechllan, Desmopan and Texin.
The increase has been driven by the need to restore profitability to acceptable levels, which have constantly been decreased over the past few years. This price increment is now essential to ensure future levels of investment, research & development, innovative solutions, extensive technical & customer focused services in the Asia Pacific region.
