Germany-based chemical group WACKER has recently finished expansion of its Shanghai Technical Center located at Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, China. The facility worth EUR 1 mln in investment has more than ten labs for WACKER's silicone and polymer activities, serving a wide range of industries from construction, coatings and adhesives to electronics, textile, cosmetics and home care. This will step up company's local research & development competency and ensure optimum customer support on the Chinese market. The expansion reinforces company's commitment to Chinese market even in tough economic times. The technical center spanning 3400 m2 will have enhanced testing, training and application development capacities in addition to the local product customization and development capability.
