After successfully resuming LDPE (low density polyethylene) production, Rompetrol Petrochemicals, has resumed production at its HDPE (high density polyethylene) unit. The units were shutdown in end of November 2008, to cope with deteriorating petrochem demand amid a global meltdown. The temporary shutdown also helped the company cope with the problem of stock accumulation.
