Oman Oil Company (OOC), Oman Refinery Company (ORC) and LG International
of Korea have signed a shareholders agreement for the US $ 956 mln Sohar Aromatics Complex. As per the shareholders agreement, OOC holds 60% stake in the project and the Oman Oil Refinery and LG hold 20% each. Commercial operation is estimated to commence during Q3-2008. The new complex will use naphtha produced by the Sohar Refinery Company (SRC). Capacity will include 800,000 metric tpa of para-xylene and 210,000 metric tpa of benzene
