Air Liquide has signed a 20-year contract between its subsidiary Shuaiba Oxygen and EQUATE Petrochemical Company. This new contract provides for the supply of oxygen, nitrogen and compressed air for the new EQUATE site in Shuaiba. This site includes an ethylene production facility, two polyethylene production facilities and a glycol ethylene production unit.
EQUATE Petrochemical Company is a joint venture between the Kuwaiti company Petrochemical Industries Company (P.I.C.), and Union Carbide (a subsidiary of Dow Chemical).
