Arista Tubes, the leading manufacturer of plastic tubes in the UK, plans to open a facility in Danville, Virginia to manufacture tubes for the beauty industry by the end of Q1-2007. This plant, to be set up at an investment estimated at US$24 mln, will be Arista's first facility in USA. Parent company Essel Propack already has one plastic tubes facility at Danville.
This expansion marks a major step in Essels's strategic plan for growth in plastic tubes globally and for growth in the US market. Plastic tube is the company's Second Horizon for growth, after laminated tubes. With 24 plants in 14 countries, Essel Propack is the largest manufacturer of seamless tubes in the world. It supplies the cosmetics, personal care and oral care categories and has recently branched out into the medical care segment. Essel plans to add a tube manufacturing facility in Poland, by the end of this year
