French chemical maker Arkema has announced EUR 120/ton price increase for its entire suspension PVC (polyvinyl chloride) range from July 1, 2009. The increase is to offset rises in raw material costs in recent months, such as ethylene and additionally the negative trend of the caustic soda market, which put a huge pressure on chlor-vinyl chain.
