BP Refining & Petrochemicals has declared a "force majeure" on supplies of ethylene (C2) from its 515,000 tpa "Olefins 4" cracker at Gelsenkirchen-Scholven, caused by a technical glitch in the cracking furnace. The cracker is scheduled to go back on-stream at the end of the month.
