Radici Plastics Ltda - a Brazilian company belonging to the Italy's RadiciGroup Plastics Area - has received the ISO/TS 16949:2002 Quality Management System Certification for the automotive sector. Radici Plastics Ltda has been engaged since 1997 in the production and sales of PA6 and PA66 engineering polymers and copolymers (Radilon®, Radiflam®), PBT (Raditer®), TPE (Heraflex®) and POM (Heraform®).
"During the last three or four years," stated Andrea Serturini, Radici Plastics Ltda General Manager, "the Brazilian automobile industry has grown at an annual rate of between 20% and 30%. Due to the global slowdown in the world economy, the industry is not performing at these levels any longer. Nevertheless it continues to be one of the strategic sectors of Brazil's economic plan. Brazil is the most important automotive production pole in South America. This is the reason why we believe that, once we manage to get out of the current economic crisis, the automotive sector, among others, will once again start to expand quickly, in line with the growth potential of the Brazilian and neighbouring markets (Mercosur)."
