Dow loses power at St. Charles plant

USA’s largest chemical maker Dow Chemical Co faced interruption at its St. Charles plant in Louisiana. The interruption caused “a loss of electrical power to the manufacturing site”. No injuries were reported. Restart of units at the chemical plant has not been disclosed. Dow has a steam cracker at the plant, owned by its subsidiary Union Carbide Corp.
