In culmination to the efforts made by the GCC Office of the Technical Secretariat to Combat Harmful Practices in international trade, the Egyptian Investigation Authority decided to exempt the Sultanate's polypropylene from Egyptian preventive measures, as per Oman News. The Office and through follow-up activities of the international investigation of harmful practices in international trade, showed that in June 2012 the anti-subsidizing, dumping and prevention department in Egypt opened a prevention investigation against imports of polypropylene product, where the Office notified the GCC Member States of the issue and to assign the Office to defend them. Oman agreed to commission the Office to defend it in this issue.
