The revitalised Eleme Petrochemicals Company was inaugurated in Port Harcourt, after 75% equity was acquired by a private Indonesian concern, Indorama Group for 225 million dollars. Indorama also spent an estimated 80 million dollars to turn the company round. 10% stake is held by the Rivers State government, host of the petrochemical firm. The Indorama Group be investing shortly in the second phase of the rehabilitation and expansion of the company.
