Emissions at DuPont's Orange plant leads to shutdown of recycle compressor

DuPont reported emissions of ethylene at its Orange, Texas plant, resulting in the shutdown of the No. 2 recycle compressor 11 April, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, as per Argus.com. A compressor relief valve opened and released ethylene, requiring operators to isolate and clear the unit for repair. DuPont produces ethylene and polyethylene at the site.
