Injection molding machine manufacturer Ferromatik Milacron has recently bagged a large order for 14 machines this month from Hayco, a customer based in Hong Kong. The first half of the order, comprising seven machines will be delivered this year to the company's factory in Shenzhen, China where they will be used to produce and extend the company's presence in categories such as liquid purification and dispensing. These machines include models from the high-performance K-TEC series and the MAXIMA large machine series in clamping force sizes between 3,500 and 6,500 kN, including one multi-component machine.
The machines include extensive option packages, such as extended tie bars and various interfaces providing maximum application flexibility. "The high quality of these German machines, in combination with first-class on-site service in China were key factors in our decision to buy", said Christopher Hay, MD of Hayco. Hayco has been in operation for over 25 years and today employs a workforce of some 6,000. The company develops and manufactures electro-mechanical products in several sectors, including oral and personal care, liquid delivery and purification, and household cleaning. Hayco has 200 injection molding machines, in clamping force sizes ranging from 300 to 8,500 kN, supported by a high-precision mold making capability which is developing the two-component technology for use on the Ferromatik Milacron machines.
