10-Oct-16

A fire broke out at Haldia Petrochemicals Limited (HPL)'s plant in West Bengal's East Medinipur district on Sunday. However, no casualty was reported in the incident. According to reports, the fire was first noticed in an ethylene gas pipeline at around 11:30 am. After preliminary investigation, fire officials said that the fire might have started due to a leakage in ethylene gas pipeline. 10 fire tender engines rushed to the spot and firemen fought for hours to douse the blaze.
