Fire damages petrochemical plant in Thailand

A fire has damaged a petrochemical plant in eastern Thailand, sending smoke billowing for miles and forcing nearby residents to flee their homes. No injuries have been reported in the fire that took place in Rayong province at a facility belonging to IRPC Public Co. Ltd. The fire, that was started by a gas leak which may have resulted from pipes that overheated or cracked from expansion was put under control within 20 minutes.
