First trial of ethylene unit’s cracking gas compressor at Dushanzi Petrochemical succeeds

China National Petroleum Corp.’s (CNPC) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Dushanzi Petrochemical Company’s cracking gas compressor for 1mln tpa ethylene unit at was successfully put into trial operation. As a key equipment of the ethylene unit, the cracking gas compressor has a rated power of 56,967 kw to boost the pressure of cracking gas from 0.1 MPa to 3.7 MPa. It is currently China's largest cracking gas compressor, as well as the largest one for liquid feed ethylene unit in the world. This ethylene project of Dushanzi Petrochemical is one of CNPC's integral oil refining and petrochemical project.
