Honeywell has been awarded a US$3.7 million contract to provide its Experion® Process Knowledge System R300 (PKS) along with other select technologies for Huntsman's new polyethylene plant in Wilton, UK, scheduled to go onstream in 2007. The comprehensive solution will allow Huntsman to maximize efficiencies, reduce costs, ensure safe operations and ease Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) integration. Huntsman's new plant is expected to produce 400,000 tpa of polyethylene, which will mark a significant increase in the total polyethylene output of the UK chemical industry.
