Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) proposes to set up a petrochemical complex at the Andhra Pradesh SEZ coming up near Visakhapatnam. Total investment planned by the company over Rs 20,000 crore in Visakhapatnam over the next 4-5 years, as follows:
Rs 10,000 crore on its petrochemical project
Rs 9,000-10,000 crore on capacity expansion of its Visakha refinery to 15 million ton
Rs 600 crore for a single-point mooring facility with a crude oil terminal
Rs 125 crore for setting up a mounded bullet storage facility for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)
