An unscheduled maintenance at the company's 330,000 tpa G4 cracker in Grangemouth, UK, during the last week of May 2007, has prompted Ineos to impose a force majeure on ethylene, propylene and butadiene (BD) production.
The olefins unit had been shut in April second week for a seven-week scheduled maintenance. With this unscheduled maintenance, the plant is now expected to remain inactive for three more months.
