South Carolina-based ISO Poly Films, custom extruder of high-end multi-layer plastic films, and New Jersey-based Sigma Plastics Group, the largest independently-owned film extruder in the Americas, have recently announced strategic collaboration. The partnership between the two American film extrusion majors will brings together the advances in product development, quality of films, systems and market visibility.
ISO Poly Films has plans to install additional film capacities for 3-layer lines in Q1-09 and 7-layer co-extrusion lines in Q2-09 after already having expended US$35 mln in developing hi-tech manufacturing equipment. Sigma Plastics boasts of 34 film manufacturing facilities a yearly 1.5 bln pounds production of resin with expertise in industrial films, commercial plastic film, stretch film, merchandise bags, and the like.
