Japan's JX Nippon Oil & Energy has shut its 443,000 tpa naphtha cracker in Kawasaki since the end of the previous week for repair work due to an unspecified problem, as per Reuters. A company spokesman said the shutdown of the cracker, located near Tokyo in eastern Japan, is expected to be about 10 days, but did not give any further details on the problem or repair work.
