Kazakhstan's KazMunaiGas stalls construction of oil refineries in Georgia

Owing to the current global financial turmoil, Kazakhstan has stalled construction activities of oil refineries in Batumi and Ceyhan seaports (Georgia), a senior official of the KazMunaiGas addressed in a recently held press conference as reported by Georgian Business Week. KazMunaiGas, through its representative KasTransOil has 100% stake in Batumi Oil Terminal and a 49-year exclusive right to operate the Batumi Seaport.
