Kuwait Petroleum Corp (KPC) has concluded a deal for term naphtha for August 2009 to July 2010 about 4 dollars/ton lower than its initial offer on FOB basis. Two buyers in Asia have bought the material at a premium of US$12/ton to Middle East quotes from Asia's second-largest term naphtha exporter. These rates, lower than April 2009-March 2010 prices, indicate weaker market wherein despite restricted avails, increased exports from India in the quarter is affecting pricing.
