Kuwaiti logistics giant Agility has launched the Shanghai Logistics Hub, a joint venture with Borouge. The 66,000 sq m hub is poised to process up to 600,000 tpa of polyolefins from Borouge’s Abu Dhabi plant, for export to the Asian market. 50,000 tpa of polymer compounds will be produced at an adjacent 30,000 sq m manufacturing unit.
The Shanghai hub is owned by Agility Abu Dhabi, a joint venture between Agility, UAE-based Al Dahra and Abu Dhabi-backed sovereign wealth fund Mubadala Investment Company. The firm is expected to oversee operations and distribution from the facility for the next 10 years.
