Lanxess ABS plans to invest in Greenfield project in India

Germany’s Lanxess ABS, manufacturer of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and styrene acrylonitrile (SAN) in India, plans to invest Rs 800 crore to set up a greenfield chemical facility. The company has acquired 40 acres of land near Jhagadia, to set up the ion exchange resin plant, which is to come up in the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) estate. Lanxess has existing manufacturing facilities in Nandesari, Katol and Moxi in south and central Gujarat, as well as a research and development centre in Moxi.
