Two ABS compounding lines of the LANXESS chemical group have been put back on stream at its plant in Tarragona in Spain. The compounding facilities were damaged in a fire on August 18, 2006, and production was temporarily disrupted. One section of the compounding lines is back in full production and repair work on the other compounding lines is expected to be concluded as planned. The fire has had no effect on the project to expand capacity in Tarragona. The realignment of the business unit is also proceeding completely according to plan.
