Formosa Petrochemical Corp has shut one of two residue desulphurizer (RDS) units with a 80,000 bpd capacity at its 540,000 bpd refinery in Mailiao due to a leak, as per Reuters. Formosa may restart the refinery on about a week's time.
Its other RDS unit, also with a capacity of 80,000 bpd is running at full capacity.
