The technology group of Linde has been awarded a contract by Qatar Shell GTL Ltd. (part of the Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies) and Qatar Petroleum (QP) for the supply of eight air-separation units at the Pearl Gas-to-Liquids (GTL) project in Ras Laffan Industrial City. Linde will supply air-separation units to produce about 860,000 m^sup 3^/h of oxygen .The complex will use natural gas feedstocks to manufacture 140,000 bbl/d of liquid hydrocarbon products, including naphtha. GTL fuel, normal paraffins, kerosene and lubricant base oils. The project will also produce 120,000 bl/d of oil equivalent of condensate, liquefied petroleum gas and ethane.
