Within half an hour, a minor fire that broke out at the new 580,000 bpd refinery of Reliance Petroleum was brought under control. Though the exact unit to be affected is unclear, it is speculated to be the 200,000 bpd coker unit, which converts residual fuel oil into lighter fuels such as naphtha and diesel. No person was injured in the outbreak.
