Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. has restarted its 375,000 tpa naphtha cracker in eastern Japan as scheduled, after a regular maintenance shutdown between May 10 and June 21. The unit of Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corp. had planned a shutdown of Kashima No. 1 cracker for maintenance. The cracker has already commenced production of products suitable for shipment and that the next regular maintenance is scheduled in 2010.
