New biodegradable, compostable film with moisture barrier capability

Innovia Films-a leading global producer of speciality high performance BOPP and Cellulose films for packaging, labels-have launched next generation of its flexible, compostable film under the name, NatureFlex™ at the European Bioplastics Conference. The new film, NatureFlex™ NK, offers biodegradability, compostability and an additional moisture barrier capability approaching that of co-extruded OPP. According to the company, the film is the best moisture barrier of any biopolymer film currently available, which has been achieved through Innovia Films' unique coating technology. The film is a transparent, general purpose packaging grade suitable for various applications including dried foods and for lamination to other biofilms.
