National Petrochemical Industries Company (NATPET), a subsidy of Al Lujain owning 57% of NATPET, has commenced experimental operations at its 400,000 tpa propylene and polypropylene plant in Yanbu Industrial City.
UOP Oleflex technology has been adopted for propylene production from propane provided by Saudi ARAMCO. Lyondell Basell's Spheripol technology is sued to convert propylene into polypropylene.
A marketing agreements has been inked with SABIC and NOBEL Marketing Group. In order to be focused on manufacturing and marketing, the Company has also signed a three-year contract with Al Majdooi D R I K for packing, logistics, storing and delivery of products.
