Normal functioning of Triunfo Petrochem Complex despite leak at Gasbol Pipeline

Braskem has maintained normal functioning at Triunfo Petrochemical Complex, recently acquired from Compania Petroquimica do Sul. The Braskem subsidiary has been operating at normal capacity despite the recent leak at Petrobras' Gasbol pipeline that has reduced supplies of natural gas to the region. Alternate feedstocks were being used to continue operations at normal rate. Triunfo, a Brazilian petrochemical company has an installed capacity of 160,000 tpa, producing 30 types of low density polyethylene, ethylene copolymer, vinyl acetate and mixes. Its products are distributed within the country and throughout the world, with a focus on Mercosur countries.
