Ethylene force majeure declared by Huntsman Corp has limited ethylene availability on the U.S. Gulf Coast. This has led to feedstock shorage, causing Nova Chemicals Corp to temporarily idle its Bayport, Texas styrene monomer plant. Nova expects to be able to meet its market obligations for both styrene monomer and styrenic polymers through its Sarnia, Ontario styrene monomer production and other supply arrangements.
